Change your Jabber account password
Jabber is software that runs on your computer (and phone or tablet) that ties into the TCCS phone system. It emulates your office phone extension, allowing you to answer and make calls from your Pomona extension, while you are away from your office.
The instructions below will show one how to change their Jabber account password.
NOTE:
If you do not know Jabber account your password, please contact the TCC IT Help Desk at ithelp.desk@claremont.edu .
Steps:
- Open a new incognito window (Google Chrome) or new private window (Safari, Firefox or Edge).
NOTE:
If you are on the Pomona College campus, do not use Claremont-Guest wireless. Use primarily Pomona wifi, or Eduroam wifi as a backup.
- Visit https://portal.voice.claremont.edu/ucmuser .
- Enter your phone extension (the last 5 digits of your office number; e.g., x18061) and current password. Then, click 'Sign In'.
- Click on the 'General Settings' tab.
- Under the Client/Portal Password section, type in your preferred new password. Then, click 'Save'.
Your new password is now set.
