Managing Playlists for Digital Signage
This article will show one how to manage Playlists in Visix Software.
- Navigate to website: https://axistv-manage.campus.pomona.edu/manage/
The site uses SSO to log in, so it should log the user in automatically, otherwise use Pomona College standard log in credentials (e.g. abc2023@pomona.edu).
- Click the menu icon next to Manage on the upper left-hand corner of the screen:
- Select the Playlists option from the drop-down menu.
- Here you will find the different parts of your signage, which will be split into different quadrants, for example, Left Side and Right side. This also depends on the layout of your board. You may only see one area within the Manage Message Playlist area.
- Select the playlist you want to edit and click the pencil icon in the bottom corner of that playlist.
- On the right side of the page, you'll see Media File. Once you select Media File, you'll be given the option to upload a file from your computer. Click Choose File and select the file you want to upload to your player. Click Import.
- You'll be given several options once your image or file is imported, including how many seconds you want the image to show, and where you wish to add it to the rotation: the beginning, middle, or end.
- From this page, you can also adjust how long, or what days you want your image or file to show for. You can set for Always, which adds the file to a regular 24/7 rotation.
- When you make all your adjustments, click Finished.
- Your new image will appear in the Manage Message Playlist Items.
- If you need to adjust the time or days that your new image is shown, select the image and click Adjust Schedule on the right side of your screen. You'll find an option to change it to a One-Time image (only appearing for one day) or a Recurring image (where it shows only on certain days/times).
- If you have a Recurring image or file, make sure you select the days you'd like, the ending date, and the Begin time at 12AM and the End time at 11:59PM, this way the file will show all day. Click Adjust Schedule when you are finished.
- If you need to delete a file from the Manage Message Playlist Items, click on the item you wish to delete, and click Remove from Schedule, located on the right side of your screen.
- Please keep in mind that it takes about 5 minutes for newly added, or deleted, content to appear on the screen.
