Use your Pomona College phone number off campus via Jabber
Jabber is software that runs on your computer (and phone or tablet) that ties into the TCCS phone system. It emulates your office phone extension, allowing you to answer and make calls from your Pomona extension, while you are away from your office.

Set up your phone number for Jabber
To request Jabber access, please submit your request to the TCC IT Help Desk at ithelp.desk@claremont.edu .
Please provide the following information when submitting your request:
- Name and email address
- 5 digit extension for primary line
- Types of devices wanting configured for use:
- Desktop (Windows or Mac)
- Android phone or iPhone
- Tablet (iPad or Android)
- Additional 5 digit extensions you want programmed for desktop Jabber clients (up to 8 total including primary).
It is important to provide all requested information in order to process the submission in a timely manner.
Jabber Installation
- Download the Cisco Jabber client for Windows or Mac from https://www.webex.com/downloads/jabber.html
NOTE:
Cisco Jabber is also available for Android and iOS (for phones and tablets) for FREE from the Google Pay Store and Apple App Store. Do a search for Jabber and tap on 'Install'.
However, the Jabber mobile phone app does not support more than one line.
- Once installed, log into jabber with your phone number extension inform of XXXXX@claremont.edu (e.g., 18061@pomona.edu) and Jabber password (assigned by the TCCS Phone Office).
