Installing Matlab on a personal computer

Notes:

Not all Matlab tools are available for Macs (e.g., Data Acquisition Toolbox). To see the Matlab tool compatibility, please visit http://www.mathworks.com/products/availability/index.html.

The instructions below will show one how to download and install Matlab on a personally owned computer.

Go to http://mathworks.com and click on 'Sign In' (upper right corner).
Enter your Pomona College username in the 'Sign In' box.

NOTE:
If you are a student from one of the other Claremont Colleges (you do not have a Pomona College email account) currently enrolled in a class at Pomona College, please send an email to ServiceDesk@pomona.edu from your home college email account to obtain your Pomona College credentials.
Click on the profile bubble in the upper right corner and select 'My Account'.
Click on the 'Matlab' link in the upper left corner.
Click on the 'Install MATLAB' button in the upper right corner.

NOTE:
You can also choose to use the online version of Matlab by clicking on 'Open MATLAB Online'.
Click the ' Download ' button to download the desktop software of MATLAB.

NOTE:
By default, the latest version of the MATLAB software will be selected for download. To select an earlier version, click on the 'Select Release' option to choose the desired version of MATLAB.
Launch the installer from the location from which it was downloaded. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
