How to add a non-Pomona user to your Slack channel

The instructions below will show one how to add a non-Pomona user to their Slack channel.
- Click on the workspace name (e.g., Division II) where the desired channel lives (in the top left) and select Invite people to [workspace name].

- Change the 'Invite as' option to 'Guest'.

- Add the guest(s):
- Add the non-Pomona email address of your guest(s).
Note: If you're having issues inviting affiliates from other 5C schools, try removing the subdomain from their email addresses. For example, instead of @g.hmc.edu or @students.pitzer.edu, try @hmc.edu or @pitzer.edu.
- Under the 'Add to channels' box, add your channel(s) that they should have access to.
- Set your desired time limit for the guest access
- Click ' Send '.

- You will receive a confirmation of the sent invitation. Click ' Done ' to finish, ...or 'Invite More People'.

- The guest(s) will receive an email with an invitation link to join your channel(s), and we advise you send them this advice:
Right-click the 'join' link in that e-mail and choose 'copy link' and paste it into a new private/incognito browser window.
