Advanced troubleshooting for the Macintosh Canon Copier setup
NOTE:
The instructions below will show one what to do if the regular Macintosh Canon Copier instructions aren't working. Make sure to complete all the steps below before retrying the Macintosh setup again:
- Make sure the computer is connected to Pomona wireless or ethernet (wired).
- Check to make sure the time of the computer is correct to within a minute. If the time is off by more than that, this will cause authentication issues with the print server.
- If you encountering a bouncing printer/copier icon (Hold for Authentication), there are several issues that might cause this (please click here for instructions).
- Make sure the person's copier code (if one is needed) in entered correctly; see Step 3 of Procedure 2 of the Mac setup instructions (click here for instructions).
- Delete the Canon drivers folder at:
Macintosh HD > Library > Printers
- Reset the Mac printing system (click here for instructions).
WARNING: This will unfortunately remove all installed printer (they will need to be reinstalled).
