Error
When attempting to register a device for use with the campus network (http://registration.pomona.edu), the either of the following errors appears:
Solution
If you encounter this error, please send a message to ServiceDesk@pomona.edu . Include the manufacture and model number of the device and its machine access code (MAC) address. If you need help finding the computer's MAC address, please click here for instructions.
For Client Services
The instructions below will show one how to add a MAC (machine code address) prefix to BCM to address the error above.
Log into BCM.
Click on the 'System' tab (at the top) and select 'Settings'.
In the list view to the left, click on 'Identification' and then 'Vendor OUIs'.

Change the 'Add Filter' option from 'Select' to 'Vender OUI'.
Do a search using the first 6 characters of the MAC address (e.g., 'XX-XX-XX'-XX-XX-XX) of the affected device.

If found, set Role to 'NAC-Default' and Registration Type Override to 'Gaming Device'.

If not found, click 'Add'. Then, enter the vendor name and set Registration Type Override to 'Gaming Device'.
Have the owner of the device try the registration again.
