How to register your game console, network printer and other non-computing device
These instructions are meant for network devices that DO NOT run the Windows or Macintosh operating systems. Such devices may include:
Game console (XBox 360, Sony PS, TiVo, GameCube, Nintendo Wii, etc)
non-wireless router (wireless routers are not allowed)
Voice Over IP phone (Vonage, etc.)
G3 microcell
wireless printer
other non-computer device
NOTE:
With Some gaming devices, you will have better results using the Claremont-ETC wireless (click here for the password).
Instructions
Find the MAC address of your network device. This information is usually including with the documentation for your device, on the outer surface of the device itself or in the setting menu of the device. The MAC address will be 12 characters long consisting of numbers from 0-9 and letters from A - F (example, 12:34:56:AB:CD:F0).
- On your computer or a lab/classroom computer, go to the address of https://registration.pomona.edu/registration/GameRegister.jsp
- Enter the following:
- Network ID: your username (ces04747, ces02008, etc.)
- Password: your password (same as Email, My.pomona.edu, Sakai, etc.)
- Mac Address: MAC address of your wireless device
